Rahela & Tanvir

The story

Rahela works in finance in Gulshan, Tanvir runs a tech startup. They met at a Dhaka University reunion in 2023. Their wedding spanned three days at Pan Pacific Sonargaon: a marigold-heavy Gaye Holud in the garden, the Akdh in the boutique ballroom, and a grand Reception for 450 guests in the Grand Ballroom.

The couple chose Sonargaon because it could host all three ceremonies under one roof — a real concern when guests include elderly relatives from Comilla and Khulna. The hotel coordinated rooms, in-house catering, and stage decor as one package.

"Having vendors who knew each other already made coordination effortless. The MUA arrived 15 minutes before the videographer needed me — that's the kind of thing you only get from a tight network."
